The doctors of the PET+ER are here for you and your pets, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They have over 50 years of combined emergency experience and truly enjoy what they do. They work as a team to ensure that your pets receive the best emergency and critical care possible.
Jenny Longbottom D.V.M.
Dr. Longbottom was born and raised right here in Baltimore Maryland. She attended veterinary school at Oklahoma State University and graduated in 2001. She has been working for the Pet-ER since 2003 and was recently appointed the Chief-of-Staff. When she is not at work, she is a mom to her two boys, Aidan and Finn, and wife to veterinarian Dr. Matt McGee. Her family also consists of her 2 dogs and 3 cats.
Cynthia Willer D.V.M.
Dr. Willer graduated form North Carolina State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002, and completed her rotating internship at MSPCA- Angell Animal Medical Center in Massachusetts in 2003. Her special interests are in critical care, head trauma, pediatrics, and exotic medicine.
Marianne Alcan D.V.M.
Dr. Alcan received her undergraduate degree in Molecular biology from The University of Maryland, College Park. She earned her DVM from the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine and completed a medicine/surgery internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Charlotte, NC. Her interests include infectious diseases, surgery and geriatric care. She married her college sweetheart and they have 1 dog, 2 cats and a beautiful baby boy born in 2008. Outside of work she loves to read, play golf and cheer on the Ravens.
Stephanie Cohen V.M.D
Dr.Cohen attended the University of Maryland for her Undergraduate Degree in Biology.She obtained her VMD from the University of Pennsylvania and then completed a small animal intership at the Garden State Veterinary Specialists. Dr.cohen is a native Philadelphia,Pannsylvania. In her spare time she enjoys outdoor activites with her dog Jobe
Jenna Mosier D.V.M
Dr. Mosier obtained her undergraduate degree in Biology and Archaeology from MIT and her DVM from Tufts University. In addition to emergency medicine, she also has an interest in small mammal and reptile medicine. When not at work, she can be found running marathons or growing her new photography hobby. Her zoo currently consists of 4 dogs, 6 cats and a turtle.
William Mazur D.V.M.
Dr.Mazur received his undergraduate degree in Marketing from George Mason University (Fairfax, Va) in 1996. After obtaining his BS, he then went on to attend veterinary school at the VA-MD Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (Blacksburg, VA). After receiving his DVM, Dr. Mazur continued his professional training at the Angell Animal Medical Center/MSPCA (Boston, MA) to complete a small animal internship focused on emergency medicine and surgery. His professional interests are neurologic and poly-trauma emergencies.
Ai Takeuchi V.M.D.
Dr. Takeuchi is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. She completed her undergraduate degree in biology and politics at Mount Holyoke College in 2002. She finished a small animal medicine and surgery internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in 2007 and worked at an emergency and specialty care center in Pennsylvania before joining the PET ER team in the summer of 2009.She is interested in emergency surgery, critical care, and coagulopathies. She lives in Baltimore with her husband and their 3 cats and mix breed dog. .
Ann Hickson D.V.M.
Dr. Anne Hickson received her doctorate of veterinary medicine from the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, located in Blacksburg, Virginia, in 1987. Since graduation, Dr. Hickson has practiced in several clinics in the Baltimore Annapolis area and has been with the Pet+ER since January of 2005. She lives nearby with her two orange tabby’s and one scruffy little dog.
Safi Chand D.V.M.
Dr. Chand is a Foreign Veterinary Graduate, recertified In Canada and the USA in 2005. Dr. Chand completed his medicine and surgery internship at Boston Road Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital in Springfield, Massachussets. His special interests are cardiology, radiology and surgery. Outside work he is the father of two daughters, ages 5 and 2 and he also has 1 cat.
