Common diagnoses we treat are: heat stroke, hit by car, seizures, stabilization/referral to specialist for heart failure, chocolate/rodenticide ingestion, vomiting/diarrhea, and urinary tract infection.

The PET+ER is fully equipped to perform emergency surgery for conditions including, but not limited to: foreign body removal, bloat, urethral obstruction, pyometra/dystocia, and wound repairs.

Lastly, we provide consultations and referrals to specialty services as needed (surgery, cardiology, internal medicine, and dentistry).

Medical Minute

Be careful to not let your dog eat any wild mushrooms that you find growing in your yard. There are many types that can be toxic to dogs and can cause liver failure. If your dog does eat any of these mushrooms - it is best to make them vomit up the mushroom to avoid any toxicity. Just come in to see us and we can take care of everything.
