Dr. Salewski is from the Catskill Mountains in upstate New York. After completing her undergraduate degree from SUNY Oneonta, she decided to leave the snow behind and moved to Wilmington, NC, to be closer to the beach. After working at a general practice and an emergency hospital, her passion for emergency medicine and surgery grew. She was also a registered veterinary technician for several years prior to veterinary school, allowing her to gain valuable hands-on experience. 

When Dr. Salewski is not at work or studying, she enjoys spending time with her significant other and their pets. Some of her hobbies are crafting, riding bikes, different water activities, and searching for sea glass at the beach. She also loves finding good hiking trails & walking with her dog Rylee! Her guilty pleasure movie series is Harry Potter, and she admittedly re-watches them every couple of months.
