Nelma joined Pet+E.R. in 1998 as a Veterinary Technician, quickly earning recognition for her dedication and excellence, having been honored with the "Employee of the Quarter" award three times. In 1999, she was promoted to Lead Technician, a role she successfully held until transitioning to the position of Inventory Manager in 2021.
In her current role, Nelma is responsible for managing all supply orders to ensure the hospital operates efficiently. She maintains clear communication with our doctors and technicians, keeping them informed about any backordered items. Nelma also ensures that all hospital equipment is properly maintained, coordinating necessary repairs to ensure everything is in working order. Additionally, she plays a key role in the onboarding process for new staff, overseeing their registration and training on our Cubex supply bank.
In 2022, Nelma’s responsibilities expanded to include inventory management for our AVIM group, further showcasing her versatility and commitment to the success of the practice.
Outside of work, Nelma shares her home with her husband, three dogs, two horses, and a cat. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her horses and engaging in various craft projects. Nelma is passionate about contributing to the growth and success of the Pet+E.R. family, finding fulfillment in knowing her efforts make a meaningful difference.
